                                                       the marriage to Richard Plantagenet, Duke of York, was a love match. In the 15th
                                                       Century it was not unusual for the wife to have a child every year or every other
                                                       year. However, the norm was for the wife to sit dutifully at home and tend to the
                                                       family. Cicely was a constant travel companion to her husband.  She was
                                                       known as the "Rose of Raby".
